Meet our Panel:
Katherine Lyall-Watson
Katherine is the co-artistic director of female-led theatre company Belloo Creative and an award winning creative whose work blends heart, politics, ans beautifully sharp storytelling. Her play Boy, Lost won the Lord Mayor’s Award for Best Australian New Work, and her acclaimed Motherland toured nationally after it’s award winning premiere.
A former Actor, Director, Mentor, and long time champion of emerging writers, Katherine is also a beekeeper and an avid reader.
Angel Linding
Angel Linding is a counsellor and speaker who takes a different approach to healing. Instead of circling the story or analysing every thread, she helps people feel their way through what’s been stuck, so the body can finally release what the mind has been carrying for far too long.
At the heart of her practice is a simple belief: when we learn to sit with ourselves honestly, we stop abandoning who we are. From that place, resilience builds, and we soften back into who we truly are, and naturally we stop searching for a tribe to fit into and start creating connection that feels genuine and real.
Wendy Dean
Wendy Dean is a storyteller and three-time survivor of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer – a title she never applied for but wears with pride. Diagnosed at 45, just weeks after consciously uncoupling from her husband, she began a journey that stripped her bare and rebuilt her from the inside out.
With raw honesty and wicked humour, Wendy turns life’s toughest moments into stories that inspire and uplift. As a speaker, she blends serious messages with cheeky charm, connecting through authenticity and lived experience.
Now 55, Wendy is embracing her “second act” – working in hospitality by day and acting by passion while using her voice to advocate for cancer awareness, mental health, and the power of truly living.
